Hey guys, i was just wondering what you other guys with the 2.5l engine idle at? I just cleaned my TB and IAC valve and the idle is sitting around 1100.

thats super high, mines probably around 600 - 700 or so

 

yeah i figured it was a bit high, mine used to idle around 800 but i recently replaced the TB so perhaps the idle pin is set to high.

 

mine was higher before i replaced my TPS ... now it just purrs

its $30 at autozone, and mine was making my truck run like **** long before throwing a cel, once it did throw a cel id be idling at 3k haha.

its right on the back of the intake mani dead center in the back of the engine, when you replace it its a ***** to get the phillips screws out, i used a ratchet with the phillips bit, i reccomend a magnet picker upper thing cause i kept dropping the bit. Also if you do replace, be careful not to lean on the low side A/C ... mine hasnt been that cold since and i tried to recharge with one of those universal kits and the **** went up to red on the gauge so i might try it again eventually
