Icon5 Will a dealership install cruise control, power windows and locks in a 4-banger?

I've looked and looked and just can't seem to find a used 4 cyl Ranger with cruise control and all power options. I've seen maybe two or three 4-banger Rangers with these options in my life and Ford doesn't seem to offer any of these as options in new standard cab 4-bangers. Does anyone know if a Ford dealership will actually install these "goodies" and at what price?

I guarentee you WILL NOT like the costs involved.

WAYYYY better off doing it yourself and learning the ways of your truck. There's a few threads here covering everything you want to do.

yup.. mine doesnt have any of those most audio shops will instill power windowns for you... then you can get locker done at just about any shop...but would almost be better off going down and trading in on a v-6 with the options already there... my sister 96 2.3 2wd has power windows and locks.. but its also an extended bed

Our shop would install locks, with keyless entry for $300. Windows would be $175 and cruise, if its an auto, would be $550.

The retail price of the parts needed would be $425, the rest is in labor.

it would be aftermarket. Windows and locks would work differently than factory. No interior switches for the locks, cruise would be a stalk add on. There are some wheel pods that use RF signals, but we have found them unreliable.

Who says the 4 cylinder Rangers don't come with those power accessories?
The "Power equipment group" and tilt wheel/cruise control are readily available on any Ranger XLT. My 2004 Ranger was factory-equipped with those power things...

Ordinarily, a dealer will stock plain, cheaped-out Ranger XL's with the 4 cylinder engine for advertising purposes. ("A Brand-New Ranger for only $11,995" or something like that.) But the nicer-equipped XLT's and Sports will have the fancy stuff on them, along with a V-6 engine.

I have added power windows/locks/mirrors to my truck, and use the factory switches for everything. I will tell you it is not cheap. You will need door panels, the bezels on the doors, all the switches, mirrors, for windows I got the A1 kit, locks are regular aftermarket add ons. I just drew up a diagram so I can rewire everything, installed different stuff at different times so I had a ton of wires coming out of the doors, and am going to redo it with a single set of wires. Just to rewire it I am at about $100 in wire and connectors.

Old post, I know, but new member. I got the base 2.3L XLT RC + auto trans, and it comes with power everything, fog lights, cruise/tilt, side airbags, traction control & RSC, 4 wheel discs, and a hitch. My 07 didnt even have a chrome grille, very sad.

I have an 04 XLT and I have power nothing, manual door locks, windows, no cruise control and the damn thing doesn't even have tilt wheel.. but I love it anyways.

Who needs all the goodies?

I have an 08 no power windows, no door locks and no cruise control. I do however have AC which is weird for an the base model or XL.
