***i wanna lift a 95 ranger ex-cab 5-6 inches!***.. but how???
 

hey whats up .. im new to this thred so... i dont know too much about lifting truck.. so im looking for some help on this.
i just got a 95 ranger xlt ex-cab 2.3L s-4
i wanna lift it about 5 to 6 inches so i can put 38 inch tires under it. i saw this same lift on a regular cab ranger and it looked mean!!!!!...
so what do i need to get to make this happen and not mess up anything?.
it also a daily driver
so give some input .. thanks!

4 inch suspension lift from like rough country and 1 inch BL...or just get a 6 inch skyjacker. Hope you werent going for a cheap solution.

lol, wow theres just so many things wrong with where you want to go on that truck good luck with 38s on that lil lift. hope you got one of them special money trees in your backyard, and no not the pot ones either.

I think he will clear 35s and maybe 36s with that lift but thats it and yea aloto money.

ok so no 38... but 35's will be fine?.... and is it a good thing to use lift blocks?... or is that cheep wa of going about this lift?....
also..
will 35 fit on stock ranger 15 inch rims?... and can ths motor and trans. hold these tires?

but i never saw anything about "i" beam swaps?.... is that a must when you put in a lift or will the stock one work?

you dont need them, you use drop brackets.

Yea you can use drop brakcets or you can get the custom bent i beams from camburg for aloto money. Drop brackets is what you need.

Hah, no kidding, with a 90HP 2.3motor, pushing 35's, he's going to need a gear in the 6.XX range LOL.

For the most part, we try not too. Talking with instant message chat makes it hard on the eyes to read and then reread a post to understand it.

so 35's mite not be the best ideal eather for this truck... takeing in mind that the truck has a 2.3 and its not a 4x4.
all i want is the mean look and not have to worrie about the truck messing up if i ran over small stuff

I have a 4" suspension with a 3" body and running 33's. Just to give you an idea on what is gonna look like.

4" Rough country suspension lift
3" PA Body Lift
32"-33" tires (pending on what brand you want)
4:10 gears (preferd)

Pending on how everything gets installed weather by you or a shop price may go over 2000 easy.

It will effect gas milage. But Not Tremendous drop. Pending on weather you run highway alot or city.

alright i will set you straight.....

with the truck you have and planning on a 6" lift and a 3" body lift, you WILL NEVER get 35's under it...just wont happen.....maybe 33's but not any bigger....

consider this:
- you are 2wd
- you are 3" lower than a stock 4wd Ranger of the same year
- i am running a 6" lift, 3" body lift with 35's and i was originally 3" taller than you

to get 38's under your truck, you WILL have to either design and build your own lift with custom springs, OR do a SAS......no other choices.....
