'06 Ford Ranger Front Shock Replacement
Hi guys, been a long time since I've been on these forums (4 1/2 years?? jesus)
Anyway, still cruising around in the '06 XLT Ranger 2wd 2.3L. 90k miles still going strong, only thing I've had to replace on it besides fluids are the sway bar end links.
Basically coil springs scare the **** out of me and I want to make sure I don't die doing this. I watched a youtube vid of a guy changing out his front springs on his '03 ranger and he had to do nothing to the coil springs in order to change out the shock, all it was was remove top bolt, remove bottom bolts, drop through coil spring and replace. Just wanted to make sure this was the same on the '06 so I don't have a coil spring shooting at my neck.
I also lived in salt country for 5 years so I have my angle grinder prepped and ready...god knows those bolts won't be easy. Hopefully vice grips and a breaker bar are enough.
