#1 torsion bars and 2" shackles
#1 torsion bars and 2" shackles
Im looking for a couple inches of lift and I dont really feel like doing a body lift. Would getting #1 torsion bars and 2" chevy drop shackles give me 2 inches or so of lift and be level? I already need an alignment so now would be the perfect time to do it.
2" in front what you have now? your 04 shouldnt be sagged that much throw 2-3 turns into those things you wont be bottoming them out with 2-3 at all... hell i am 2 turns past factory spec now and the heads are just now behind the gaurd...
shackles are more like 1.75 net lift btw

I'd do #1 bars and go from there. RangerExtreme ran #1's cranked and shackles before his bodylift...he was running 33's too. He's got a build thread in the project log section of the site. Was not level...
2" chevy drop shackles netted me 1.5" of lift.
They are HEAVY. i'd say close to 50lbs for the two.

Shipping would suck for the torsion bars.
I just put #1 bars and chevy drop shackles on. Sitting at 37" at the back fender flare and ~36" at the front with 31's. I only have 2 turns in the front bars over factory adjustment and I have a cap on the rear that makes it sit a little lower than it would otherwise.
From what I remember I think it was just about 1 3/4" lift in the rear and about the same in the front. I say do it!
