OEM spindle snouts

ok so this is going to sound like a stupid question but where can I buy OEM spindle snouts. I’ve been googling for hours.
The reason I’m looking for OEM is I’m planning on buying the camburg edge 6.0 kit and they said they can’t use the snouts from my aftermarket lift spindles.
Thanks in advance.

Junkyard. If your truck is the Edge in your profile picture, you can get them from any 2001-2011 Ford Ranger Edge/Sport 4x2 with torsion bars. Maybe even 95-01 Explorers. I'm not sure about the 98-2011 coil spring Rangers though.

Be prepared though, those snouts won't come out with a hammer. They need to be pressed out.

Thanks for the reply. I would really like new spindle snouts. There’s got to be somewhere I can get them new.

Well you might still be able to source a set of stock Ford steering knuckles from a third party "new old stock" distributor, but that's about the only way you're going to get a set of brand new OEM snouts. And you'll still have to press them out of the OEM steering knuckles you have no use for.

It’s been a while but I picked up some used spindles for a junkyard and I’m picking up the 6.0 kit from camburg tomorrow. I know I need to press out the snouts and put them in the new spindles and I have a press. How do I press them out and in to the new spindles without F’n everything up around me. It looks pretty straight forward any input helps.

Only place you can really put pressure on them is where it starts to neck down to the outer end of the snub. I haven't seen anybody press them out first hand, but I assume you would need a dye that will fit over the smallest part of the snub so you can apply pressure on the thicker section.

Thank man I figured it’s pretty straight forward. I talked to someone at camburg today that told me the same thing. It’s just a lil scary. I don’t want to kill my new kit before I get to enjoy it

I know the feeling, I have a set of Maxtrac spindles with a broken snout and a set of OEM knuckles with good snouts, and I want to swap the good snouts into the Maxtrac spindles so I have a backup set, but I haven't been able to find a die that I feel confident about.
