I'd get something a little stronger than a dana 44 rear. The axle you have in the rear already has a bigger ring gear. A lot of guys swap in an explorer 8.8 rear axle. You can get them with 31 spline axles and disk brakes. Unless your truck already has a 31 spline 8.8..

Agreed, if I was doing a lifted ranger or an early bronk I'd do a 44/8.8 combo.

Yeah, that's his personal driver. He put a HP dana 60 in the front, I'm not sure what rear he's running but I'm sure its a 1 ton as well. He does great work, he's the one that welded up my explorer 8.8 for my truck and will be doing a sas on my truck in due time.
