hey guys i wan hanging out with some of my jeep buddys today and they were f-ing around doing some 3 wheel turns and one of them said i couldn't do it in my ranger because of my IFS.... so my question is is it possible and if so how would i go about gaining the ability to do one my self?

 

First don't do it, that sounds dumb, why put yourself and your truck in that kind of situation?

Just watch them do it until they roll over

 

im not gonna really do it i just want to be able to show him up and be able to tell him how

 

really soft rear suspension. and about 1000 horsepower outta do it. lol

 

I doubt it is going to cause them to rollover. My friend could put his TJ with a rear locker on three wheels at about 10mph in a slightly turn.

it probably has alot to do with their short wheel base. And if they are locked in the rear.

Short wheelbase, only swaybar being a Currie AntiRock up front (on softest setting), 4.0 tcase, Clayton long arm, all allow me to do it in my Jeep....though I have no idea why the hell you would want to or enjoy it....

 

i didnt say there was but deavers are soft....

 

deavers are a 7 or 10 leaf pack, about the furthest you can get from soft on a ranger

 

10 packs are stiff as hell....7's are not. 7's are butty! however 10's are built for having bed cage, 2 spares, big fuel cell, jacks, and all the necicary parafanalila (sp i know is dicked there lol). 7's for a mild cage and longer shocks.


HIllPRIDE- if your end result you disre is 3 wheel while turning, 3 link it. the only reason camburgs truck and many others can is because the rear travel on them far exceed the fronts, im not sure exactly on there spec but it looks like 18" fornt and probly 26 at least in the rear, and thats also with super soft shock...well low speed on the tripples at least....

back to the point.... in the world of leafs, my best bet would be the giant kit... Quasi242(think thats his name) has it on his and belive interceptor ordered one too, and they are nothing short of awsome. however if you if you have a good line on a set of deavers, try them for now, or just save up for the giants.

 

Strap the front wheels super tight to stop downward movement, crank wheel hard!

 

Thanks for the awesome help! yeah i have been looking at the 64" kit and debating on if i should get it for my DD or just wait to get my project "PRERUN RANGER" and 3 link it...
also for graduation im getting a 71 Bronco that im going to lift and make my DW (designated wheeler) and that should be able to 3 wheel easy

yeah most lickly... you might be able to with the giant kit and stock front end, but if your already SL'd you may want to forget about it... thats a high center fo gravity
