hey guys on the 98+ torsion rangers...how much in common do the 4wd and the 2wd suspension parts have in common? besides the obvious front diff : ) pix would be cool too : )

 

I think everything thing is the same (at least on my 04 it is). The torsion bars on the 4x4 may be stronger though to handle the extra weight...

 

Same design.

I think different control arms, spindles, possibly balljoints, and the torsion bar rating is different.

 

ok i asked that question for my friend he has an 03 with 4x4 ex cab...so is it possible to just do a 3'' spindle lift? instead of buyin a complete 4x4 lift kit such as super lift? or wont that idea work?

 

you cant do a 'spindle lift' like on 2wds...

new spindles come with 4wd lift kits but so does other stuff to incoorperate the bigger spindle

so basically his only option is to buy an actual 4x4 susp.lift kit? he already has the torsion keys in it and a body lift..same as my truck....any other suggestions on how he can lift his front suspension for under 1300$? thanks dudes he now owes me a case of beer : )

 

99ranger4x4....what do u have for a lift in your truck? thing looks pretty nasty! how much u got invested into your suspension...oh ya i added ya to myspace...
