4X2 ball joints

gotta replace upper and lower ball joints on a stock '00 supercab. I do not want to remove the lower arm from the frame if at all possible, it does have a snap ring in it. I can probably pound the joint out of the arm, but whats the best way to press the new joint in? have heard that otc makes a tool for this, anyone got any suggestions?
also, any suggestions for replacing the upper joints?

what year truck? not sure on lowers...i have a question on those right now...but uppers on the newer ones are molded in the arm and you would need a whole new upper arm IIRC...

A ball joint press you can rent them from Autozone or Discount. The mechanics I jnow say take the upper off, it makes it easier. The upper presses out the top.

I replaced my lowers about a month ago and all we used to get the new ones in was a big ol hammer and hammered them in,, no need to take the lower arms off as I used them to jack the truck up so I would not have to use a coil compressor,, and yes to the ring,,
