I cut it and lifted it up and welded it back into place

 

I covered the welds with seam sealer. Then I sanded the bed floor to prep it for spray in bedliner.

I needed a place for the air guages so these vents had to go

 

 

 

The heater box also needed some notching to clear the passenger valve cover.

 

I decided that the engine bay needed a cleaning before the engine went in....I got carried away!



After removing all the wiring and under hood crap, I decided to explore the idea of welding trailer fenders in. I bought these at the local tractor supply store for $50

 

I was nervous, I had only seen it in magizines before. Lol

 

I welded the fenders in. I also covered the welds with seam sealer.



The passenger side had to be notched to clear the heater box.

 

Cleaned it all up and painted it with Rustoelum enamel

 

I had taken the brake booster off to paint the fire wall. I didn't have the money for a new one so I cleaned it up and painted it with the same bedliner spray

 

I bought an Edelbrock intake from ebay. It was kinda stained and didn't look good so I painted it.

I decided to go black on this engine. My last one was blue and showed all the leaks and dirt after a year.

 

I went with a slave cyl from Advance. It was only $16

 

This day made me smile

 

the trailer fenders turned out great!

 

I cut alot out of the core support to tuck the radiator up underneath

Thanks guys. It was a cheap (budget) build. It turned out good. There is still alot to do.

It's also fun to drive YouTube - Ranger 5.0 B303 cam Magnaflow exhaust 3.73 gears and air bagged suspension.
