How about for a daily driver?
HI
don't know if you're still watching this thread but I'm interested in Air Shock. I think the stock FX4 (2002) suspension is too stiff. On a wash board the thing nearly ratchets itself off the road. I'm wondering if a switch to these would allow using softer springs and tacking up some of the "slack" when on road with the air. Any thoughts on using these on a daily driver? I take nitrogen with me on the trail anyway so that's no big deal. My suspension is otherwise, stock, no lift.
Thanks

yea it would.. and why do you carry nitrogen on the trail?
do you have the 300psi regulator you need to fill them?
it would be sweet to have on a stock truck, but i would say dont do it.. wash board roads do suck, even with how much my rear end is sagged and worn and now i have new heavier coils on the front(thats gonna suck) i still say do a SAS or something and use the shocks there

nitrogen for tires
Yes, I"m not interested in harder suspension. In fact just the opposite - I want more compliance - the suspension doing more for me. I carry nitrogen to re-inflate when I go back on the road. I air down to about 15 psi and get much better traction, flotation, grab etc. So I always carry nitrogen, but my regulator doesn't supploy 3kpsi. I'd just like to get rid of the hangy down torsion bar brackets.
well
im pretty sure u need a 300psi reg to fill the shocks.
just remember the shocks are both the shock and the spring so im not sure how much better it will be on the wash board roads...
try un cranking the t-bars, but thats a topic for another thread
