I looked at the axle codes on the ranger station, but am still confused. I hope I have this correct. My axle tag reads like this:
5354S
88 9D15
What does this mean. All I can figure is it's an 8.8.

Should be some numbers before the 8.8, usually by the hole in the tag where the bolt goes through that holds it on, don't recognize any of those other numbers, the 9D15 could be the axle code if you was to order a NEW complete rearend from Ford.
