Axle wrap after lift??
Hey all been awhile since I've posted. Not sure if this goes in suspension or
Drivetrain tech so I apologize in advance.
Anyways I just installed a 4 in susp lift on my truck. Well
The kit required new 2in blocks to be stacked on top of the stock blocks
In the rear.
under hard load it feels like my rear axle is hopping a bit, kinda hard to
Describe really. Vibrations in the rear I guess would be the best description. Only when i gas it hard from a stop.
Just wondering if this is a lifted truck characteristic?? Or stacking of the blocks I'm guessing..
Any fixes, advice, or suggestion from others?

Yep that would be axle wrap. With a locker I suffered axle wrap some times with only 1.5" blocks. You have two choices
#1, go lifted rear leaf springs. You can do explorer/sport trac leafs and extended shackles and keep your stock blocks and ditch the stacked block BS. You may have to use an add a leaf in this set up to keep it level, I don't know for sure, or
#2 get some traction bars

Still to much. In my opinion any block is to much block as they all cause axle wrap. The more block you have the more axle wrap you will have. The best thing you can do is get the skyjacker 36" leaf springs and ditch all the blocks.
I must agree, while a single 4" block is better than stacked 2" blocks, its the same as saying its better being raped by a 2" dick than a 4" one. With shackles and explorer/sport track springs i got about 3" of lift, and it set me back all of 160$, but 3" probably isnt enough for you. A lifted leaf pack would be best, as the last guy also suggested
