The 8.8 with 4.11 gears and limited slip came stock on the truck, I did not put it on there.

I thought only level II's came with a 8.8 stock.

hows your gas mileage? eer considered going to a 4.56 or 5.13 or whatever the next one was, I dont feel like lookign that up right now.

you should lock that beast too!

The code is on the decal on cab, inside the driver side door jam, I cant exactly rember what it says but there is some where that tells you what the codes mean, somebody on here told me were to go to find out what they mean but i cant remeber, but it tells you on the little tage that is on the rear of the axle diff cover too.

I guess not, mine has the 8.8, RyanRebel has seen it. I get 155 miles to a tank (18 gal tank) that is 8.6, but I think that is wrong because my speedo and odmeter are way off, so I think Im getting alot more than that, because it is 163 miles from my house to my parents house (by my odmeter when it was stock) and now my odometer says that it is 93 miles from my house to my parents house, so do the math. Im guess 12-14 miles to the gal

Now I see the light........ I think my truck is better than everyone else's...... I feel like I NEED to lock it, lift it... and put 40s on it....

hahahaha.... Well, I'm definitely happier...

NOW, back on subject. I may be going the way of the BL+Spindle lift. It's relatively cheap/affordable compared to a RCD or any custom LT kits... and You can tuck some major tire... or even big rims.

Every 4.0 truck has the 8.8 28 spline

The LVL II's have the better 8.8 31spline torsen L/S

some 3.0's have them too, but its rare

considering i've been through 4 transmissions in 45,000 miles, i would never take an auto 3.0 that tall.

but then again, i have 3.73's, not 4.10s, but 39.5's w/ 4.10s is worse than me w/ 32's and 3.73's...

but i also drive it like i stole it.
