Post Which Bilsteins for rear?

Hey guys,

I'm going to be lifting my '06 2WD XLT (coil spring) and want to order the correct Bilstein shocks for the rear.

I'm going to be starting off with AAL's and might add the shackles on top of that if the rear is not as high as I want. I'm going to be putting 3" Fabtech spindles in the front.

So the rear lift would either be around 1.5" to 2" with just the AAL and another 1.5" or so if I decide to do the shackles.

I see Bilstein has the BE5-6216-H5 for 1-3" higher than stock or the BE5-6527-H5 for 4"-6". These are listed for the 83-97, but will they work for the later years?

If these shocks do work, since my lift range can be anywhere from 1.5" to 3.5" should I get the BE5-6527-H5 (4-6") or would the BE5-6216-H5's be able to go up to 3.5"?

Which ones are everyone here running?

I got this info from Bilsteins application page:

http://www.bilstein.com/suvs_5100.php

Thanks,

Mike

first off i am lookin for the correct set of four Bilsteins myself, so ill jump on your boat...

second, i put the fabtech spindles on my front and only needed the AALs, no replacement shackles, my rear still looks 1/2" taller than the front (its not even that noticeable tho)
