bl?

i've been reading all these instructions on how to bl an 01 xlt, and they keep saying you need a torch and a good impact. i heard the bolts for the cab have lock tite on them and you need to heat them to break them loose with the impact. problem is i have a really weak impact and i'd have to borrow a torch. i've heard of people just using a pipe or breaker bar instead of an impact but idk about that locktite. is there a way to do this with out the impact or the torch?

I didnt use any air tools but I would say some kind of torch is a necessity. I just used a little torch that screws on to a little propane bottle, worked great. Without it, I would hold the bushing under truck and my dad was using a 24" breaker bar up top and we couldnt bust the cab bolts loose. Dont try to do that cab by yourself, it aint gonna happen.

if you don't use air tools let all the bolts soak in some PB blaster.

Yeah you can do it with a breaker bar, impact just makes it faster and easier.

Impact for sure helps but I did almost my whole BL with a breaker bar and a little will power. Make it happen and get it on ASAP!
