chevy shackles on 87 ranger?

chevy shackles on 87 ranger?

ok so today i got explorer leaf springs to get my ranger back to its stock height and i want to lift it 1.5"-2" more would those fit and 87 ranger 4x4:

and would they just bolt in or will i be needing to do something to get them in?

They should work. Do a search over at therangerstation in the suspension section. That topic has been covered many times.

I put them on an '88 Ranger I used to make my trailer... They should work fine. They do bolt right up, but undoing the existing bolts might be really hard. I had the bed off and almost couldn't do it. Everything was rusted together, and the rubber mount defeated the impact gun.

aaaaaa cool i think ill get someone to do it for me becuase i have only hand tools and a grinder with a drill

sure but i still need to get the shackles becuase i just spent $1300 on a transmission rebuild however i do need help putting my explorer leafs on it

dont use a torch to head up the bolt unless you are sure you want to replace the bushings. and also the metal sleeve in the bushing might be rusted to the bolt which makes for a fun time like this

i would use pb blaster on the rust.....works miracles!!!!

it will fit for a lift but not for a lowering.

LOL i had that doesnt matter if the collor is rusted solid to the bolt your just screwed...

no i have brand new polyurathane bushings already so i dont need bushings
