Today after work my buddy just got a 06? fx4 ranger like a week ago, so he wanted to offroad it, i look him where i go with my explorer. We were just going down a rocky trail just crawlin over the rocks super slow, and the front end clunked/poped like 5 times, not in a row just everytime when we hit a larger rock, but we were crawlin so its was a hard impact or anything. Now i remember back when i tighten my torsion bolts and i went offroad in my ranger and i heard the front end clunk...does every ranger with a torsion twist make a clunk or pop ?

or what could it be?

 

It could need a new set of ball joints.

 

it just got balljoints before it was sold at the local ford dealer
