Coil-over sadness/madness

in addition to the drawings, it would be nice to have a file to save to a memory stick to bring to a fab/tool n die shop. just give them the file and have them make the mounts.
if someone was unable to make them of course.
props on those drawings though. i could never do that.

If you printed out the "blue prints" you could take it to any shop and have it made. I will make these available, but not until I get all the info to make it correct. My drawings now are not 100% accurate, but close. I don't want to put wrong info out there

I just wanna say, I've been following this, and you guys are making great progess, and I hope for the sake of all Ranger owners that want to do this swap, that you get the little kinks worked out, and people can once again enjoy doing this mod to their Rangers. Thank you guys for your hard work, it's cool stuff.

I don't have all the dimensions needed for this to be made, but it is getting close. When it is done, I would be happy to give out the design.

The best I have is what the drawing shows since I no longer have access to a Ranger. That's a design hole in the drawings I'm making too. I was just going to leave that up to the end user. The brackets are what matters. Holes can always be drilled later to guarantee fitment.
One thing I will say about those brackets is that some of the angles need to be changed. I had to modify them somewhat so the upper bracket would not contact the coil-over. Those drawings originally came from someone else. I just redrew them at one time exactly as he had them. The drawings I'm currently making (if I ever get them finished) are a completely different design. I will show you where the changes need to be made this evening.
Also, welded would probably be easiest, but not best. It is how a lot of them were made so it's not a big deal. If I were to make some myself I'd have as much as I could bent.

No problem...the "Long Rod Ends" that are installed in the pictures are part #213-01-238-A (Series 2.0 w/ 5/8" Shaft). Off the top of my head they are something like 3 3/4" from center of heim to the end of the rod end where the shaft threads into. They were like $50 for the pair.

Yeah I hear you....they are going to be sitting right next to my new SSBC rear disc brake kit and underdrive pulleys until the weather gets workable! Going to be a busy spring/summer to install all my winter goodies!
Ill be drooling over the stack of parts nightly until it happens!!

I got everything in the 1st picture from Downsouth Motorsports and they had great customer service. For the items in the 1st picture it ran me $690 and that included the chrome body upgrade…which I think costs about $100 over the standard clear cadmium body for the pair. The springs shown are 12" versions...I also bought 10" versions to play around with since I want to have options when putting it together. Once I know everything works, I can post up the final list of parts, prices and where I bought everything.

I just purchased two different lengths of Eibach springs...a 10" and 12" version. I'm not planning on sending back whichever I dont use due to restocking fees and once they are installed...it's a "no go" anyway.
