I just picked up a nice set of 255/70/16 Goodyears on Ranger 5 spoke Wheels to replace my 225/70/14 "Grandpa" Wheels.
The tires are allmost 4" taller than my stock set-up ,so I bought the Daystar 2" Coil Spring Spacer Kit.
My Concern is the Tech Line at Daystar told me that about 50% of "I Beam" Rangers cannot acheive enough positive Camber to get a proper Alignment.
He also told me there are 2 different sizes of bolt extenders made for Rangers 5/8" or 3/4".
Anybody want to share experiences??
What are my options if the spacers wont work?
Spindle lift?A-Arms?
I'm trying to spend as little as possible. The main function of the lift is tire clearance.I won't be going off-road much with a 2wd open diff.
I really don't want to consider a body Lift.I understand it's inexpensive,but very labor intense.
Any Ideas??

try skyjacker coils if you dont want to use the spacers.

but ive not really heard of anyone not being able to realign after the install. 2" is about the max you can go without having to go more indepth with suspension work, and you should still be able to get it back to almost if not better than factory specs.

I'm going to take the Truck into the Alignment Shop tomorrow so they can see how much Camber adjustment is available and the size of the bolt extenders.

 

mine is 100% in specs i have installed oh what 4-6 of these lifts now its getting blurry how many lol and all truck where inspecs after

usual takes around a 2.25 cam block somewhere in that area

I guess I'm more stupid for asking than ya'll are for not realizing - the reason I can't find Skyjacker coils for my truck is because mine's a 2000.

 

i would have posted that answer for ya, but i just got home. look for fabtech springs for your truck Tim.

 

Alignment Shop says it should be no problem.I did take it all apart today.
Pretty simple with use of a spring compressor, and Air Tools.
Although the Springs may be a bit tougher to get back in with the added spacers and extensions.
Any Tips for an easier Install??

 

remove the lower nut on the shock take the shock off the stud(HEAT THE NUT BEFORE REMOVING or 99% chance the stud will snap)

then remove one of the bolts holding the sway bar on eather top or bottom of the link.

have someone stand on the spindle and the coil will go right in and out really simple, no need for a spring compressor at all to take out or install, totaly pointless

Install went well,and lifted the Front end as desired.
New Tires will be here tomorrow,and then it's off to the Alignment Shop.
With the stock 14's still on they are "Tilted" in REALLY bad!
