Coil Spring Spacers?

so i have the two and a half inch coil spring spacers but i just had to get all new ball joints. the guy a the shop thought it might be because of the extreme angles everything is at with the spacers. would the spacers do that much damage or is it just coincidence with the non grease-able ball joints? (about 60,000 miles on the truck). i can't really afford the fabtech kits and i don't want to go back to stock. it's just my dd so nothing extreme but i was looking for insight. i'm considering new shocks to soften the ride but i just want to make sure my spacers are not at fault first

its just the ball joints, some may go 30k some 200k, those ungreaseable joints were just a dumb idea by manufacturers
