I've got this suspension. Bought it from here: Lift Kit 6" - 01-08 Ford Ranger

The shocks are s**t. It's only been about 2yrs since I put everything on and they're squeaking already. Overall; though, the rest of the components are good.

Junk!? IMO...no. I believe the only reason the shocks squeak is because I didn't put boots on them. Resulting in dirt and dust getting into them.

Really, two years on a set of shocks, if you're running it hard like you should be, isn't all that bad.

My truck sits in the driveway most of the time. I bicycle to work during the week. But when I do use it I run it mildly hard. The squeaking is intolerable these days. I've got my eyes set on a new set of Blistein 5100s.

I got the suspensionMax spindles (Doestch brand).

Came with all hardware, excellent shipping, the works. My rear I did my own with shackles and AAL from summit, as it was cheaper.

I have coil springs up front, and for my spindles I didn't need to grind the lip, only the bump stop.

Also, CanuckMotorsports = BAD stay away from them. I wanted to send them $700 of my hard earned money, and it took them 5 weeks to get back to me with the final price with shipping. I spent the extra cash and bought from suspensionmax in Cali, and it was worth the extra $. Total of 5 days from payment to having spindles on my truck.

This is how i see it. if you want to buy a lift and your going to off road it and be hard on it. i would spend the money on the proven lift like a super lift. your truck rides on this and i would want the safest thing possible and some thing that is proven.

But does StrangerRanger have a 2wd or 4wd? Superlifts are only for 4wd; correct?

I'm just a 2wd.

It will be a mall crawler with the occasional mountain road or dune, so nothing intense. The prices are just half of what anything else i've seen.

Honestly I've been scared away from lift spindles, I could buy the full six inch kit and only use the springs and still save $150 bucks. I'm sure someone on here would buy the spindles anyway..

And yeah, two years for shocks is pretty good. Non gassers should be replaced every year IMO.

So overall impression is that yes, they are a good product, but dont buy them from the Canadians.

The product is good. Buy them from the site I posted in post #2. Stay away from that Canadian vendor.

Has anyone bought the spindles? Any failures of the them? I'm still kinda scared of them...

Maybe the coil spring lift plus a 2 inch body lift and 33's. That might be fun
