Edge 2WD lift?

Hey guys,

I got a 05' edge 2wd with some 285/75/16 tires. They fit good and all but I also have my front valence off, with it on it would rub every turn. Keep in mind I have a torsion crank that was maxx but probably has sagged since then.

I basically am looking to lift my truck , not a body lift..
Then comes a custom bumper. I would like to get spindles and shackles but I'm a noob when it comes to this. Also I like the looks of the shocks and stuff when you look into the wheel well versus a body lift. What should I look for? Brands? Kits? Also I won't be installing them myself, would take them to a shop.

Thanks,
Andrew!

the beltech 6400s are gonna be your shackles...50 bucks or so on ebay....you can also go to autozone and get a 1 2 or 3 inch block and u bolt kit for 30 bucks....blocks go under the leaf springs just incase you didnt know.....if you want a little squat in the rear id go with just shackles and spindles 3 in the front and 2 in the back... re crank your t bars a hair and youll be at about 3.5 in the front and 2 in the rear

I was trying to stay away from the look of being able to see through the truck at certain angles, like a body lift or blocks. Not sure if that's correct though. If I use shackles do I need a u bolt, or a block? Don't really get that part.

On my list so far I got those fabtech spindles, belltech 6400 shackles.. What else is needed

you see where the leafs end and are connected to the body by that connector piece...thats the shackle it pushes the leafs further away from the body

Oh okay I see. Andrew if you don't mind me asking how much was your setup? I love your truck! If I were to do this myself what would you say the hardest part is?

thanks man, well i searched craigslist for literally 6 to 7 months til something popped up...i got the spindles and longer beefier upper a-arms for 50 bucks....shackles for 50 bucks....i previously installed some coil spring spacers by daystar... and i had some of the welders at work cut me some 2 inch blocks...those were free lol...but like i stated previously you can get a block and ubolt kit from autozone for 30 bucks......the hardest part for me was taking off the front brake calipers and rotors...i didnt want to mess anything up you know....be sure to have some extra grade 8 bolts before you do the install...cause the factory bolts will get buggered up in the process of disconnecting the upper a-arm from the stock spindle....
