Educate me on lowering a truck?

I've never really been into lowering, so I know next to nothing about it...

What are my options? I want to lower the rat rod about 6 inches. What is the best (read: cheapest) method? And it's for a rat rod, so it doesn't have to be fancy

Lots of ghetto people on here or what? lol Cutting the coils. I would laugh. Spend the $100 and get a set of lowering coils. Or just get the DJM kit for about $650.

Get an axle from an exploder. They are already a spring under, this will net you 5 inches of drop I believe.

And front, just get a set of lowering coils, or if you want the DJM kit.

Dropping is sick.

You could just fill the bed with cement.
