Exploder Leafs with traction bars

Well after looking around on here for some answers, I got a few. I know the James Duff traction bars will still work with the 6400 shackles, and NOT work with the AALs. But my question is, will the traction bars work with explorer leafs and shackles? I would think yes but would the explorer leafs put the axle down far enough to make the angle that the traction bars mount bad? If there's any further problems I'm not thinking about please enlighten me. Thanks.

How would they not work with AALs? I'm 100% positive they do, fx4wannabe01 is running a shackle, AAL and the traction bars.

Hey. I'm running stock ranger K leafs, procomp short AAL, Belltech 6400 shackles, stock 2.5" blocks, AND James Duff Traction bars.

Take a look at the passenger side leaf...the dark black/clean AAL in between the lowest leaf and the overload spring. Also the duff bars.

Ok, thanks for making me feel dumb. I got mixed up... They dont fit with the chevy leaf swap since you move the spring hangers forward. Well another question then... The rangers come with like 3 different spring rates on the rear leafs, do explorers have different spring rates in the rear too?

I wasn't trying to make you look dumb. lol. Just proving a point with pictoral evidence. lol. You are right about the chevy leafs and the duff bars. Other style traction bars? I honestly don't know.

You know....I've never actually noticed explorer spring rates. I assume so...i've seen explorers with those 1 1/2 hitches and others with 2" hitches...possibly differnt springs on the 2" hitches?

Just looked at JD website and they said it wont work with overload springs so I think I mixed up overload with AALs. Does anyone know the spring rates for the explorer leafs? I'm looking at gaining around 1" or more of lift from swapping to them.

They can be modded to work with the Chevy springs, I think someone on here did that.

Yes, they just need to be lengthened 6~7".
