Camburg 5.5 . . . http://camburg.com/fords98RangerP.html

Don't waste your money on Fabtech.

And if you decide to get a Camburg kit let me know, I can get you a discount.

Fabtech makes GREAT kits (I have an 8" dirt logic system on my 05 F-250) and havent seen quality like them from anyone else. I will say, selling those kits, that is one hell of a deal. I will honestly say i dont sell them anywhere near the price you found.

Installed or not? Installed I might be able to knock off the price of installation so you just pay parts. Not installed I could knock off a couple hundred I'm sure.

You guys crack me up. I'm not here to start crap, but believe it or not Fabtech isn't the end all be all of suspension. They are okay lifts, if all you do is pavement pound, but if you actually use your truck the way a so-called "performance" kit entails you too, it will fail. I've had a few friends start with the 5.5 on their Xlt's only to break it not long after buying it and going with a better kit, like the Camburg 5.5. Fabtech started out as a pioneer of the offroad industry, then as lifted trucks and show trucks got more into the scene, they sacrificed quality for quantity. You get what you pay for.

Camburg is WAY out of my price range. i can get the Fabtech shipped to my house for right around $1100. My mom has an 8" fabtech lift on her superduty and we love it. Never had any problems.

How is that way out of your price range, it's only about 500 more than you are already preparing to spend!? But to each his own, I still maintain that you get what you pay for.

I think that truck has the Fabtech kit Jared, only the Fabtech 5.5 kit would lift your truck that much, Camburg is centered on performance so they have a lower CG, but it might be the tires anywho . . . ?

I'll call them right now. And Jared you are very right.

EDIT: ~$1,400 out the door. That puts a dent in it at least, and if you pay in cash they don't charge sales tax.

Get the camburg kit. You know damn well you are getting quality as well as a great looking truck afterwards. I will tell you somthing about fabtech that I live true to this day. I used to work with a guy, James Morgan, who used to race SCORE back in the day and Now he rockcrawls. Those rockcrawlers put suspension to the ULTIMATE test. He, to this day, will tell you that Fabtech is not what they used to be. They are living on their name and their name alone to the True Truck beaters. They are not even CLOSE to the product of what they used to produce back in the day. I've seen their products break, more than once. Camburg is AWESOME when it comes to quality, and their work is beautiful.
