ha! irwin pa huh? I live down in Belle Vernon area. Mine is the SST also. I had asked what it meant when I got it and they said it was a regional promotional package. What are the specs on your truck? Mines an 05 2 door extended cab 4x4 4.0 5spd with 4.10 gears. I was told thats what the SST meant lol

i wanna know if this is necessary too

how did the install go besides taking awhile? what major tools did you need and did anything not go smoothly or was it just as easy as following the instructions?

I used pretty much basic hand tools, i didnt use the puller tool for the torsion bar so i saved 100+ bucks on that and it was just as easy as the instructions.

what if i'm sixteen and don't know that much about my suspension beyond words... i know what everything is called and kind of what it does but if you told me to point at the lower and upper control arms i wouldn't be able to do it.. i could make a good guess but i probably wouldn't get it right... think i could pull it off?

P.S. - my dad took a '64 corvette apart and stored it behind sheet rock in a house's wall and rebuilt the entire thing 2 years later and he'll be there to help me
