Hello, I have recently found out the shock mount on the radius arm rusted through on the driver side and passenger side is not far behind, I plan on doing a 5.0 conversion on the truck so my question is, is the axle under a 4.0l stronger and stiffer, and will it work on my frame? Mine is a 97 2.3l

 

I think the ranger station has a really good write up on all the front axles used in rangers. Would be a good place to check.
