Front buffer replacement. (Shock replacement.)
I have two jacks, and two jack stands.
I have one like this:
And the stock jack that comes with the truck.
How can I go about replacing my buffers on the front that are inside the coil spring?
My local garage said they'd charge me $50.00 for it, but I don't have the money.
Also, the passenger side front suspension is making a ton of popping and crackling noises when going over bumps. It gets louder when it's cold. Is there something else I should get prior to jacking the truck, and replacing the buffers?

you sure its the buffers?
it sounds like ball joints or tie rod ends.
if it is the buffers, thats relatively easy to do just let the jack down slowly when the coil spring is under compression, it would be easier to use a floor jack for it if possible
