Got New leaf springs. Their off a 2001 sports track.

Got a cupple questions,

1. Do I need to take the shocks off to put them on?

2. Im going to get rid of my rear bolck. Would a explorer U bolt work on the axle?

1. Yes. Just the bottom where it bolts to the axle. I also suggest unbolting the driveshaft from the axle. Just watch the brake line...don't stretch it.

2. No. 2wd non-edge ranger ubolts would work for ya. But I suggest getting all brand new ones anyway. Cheap $45 insurance.

Should be good to go. Just remember, theres a front and back of the leaf. I think it's long side forward? Take a tape measure to figure out which sides the longest on the truck, install the new ones the same way.

In the second picture the right side goes up front. The bigger of the two ends goes in the static hangar. Only one side of the leafs will fit into the shackle, so that's the best way to figure out which direction they go.

Hey shane I just got back from the ford dealer and they want $20 a piece. He also said that the 4wd and 2wd have the same part number. I went to a cupple auto stores and I need to know the size of the u-bolt.
