4x4 to 4x2
yes i know it sounds insane since everyone on here is tryin to get their 4x2 to 4x4 but where i live now i dont need it and with gas as high as it is i need all the help i can get, so my question is will 4x2 components swap over to the 4x4......for example i want to get the fabtech lift spindles and replace them with my 4x4 spindles and take out the entire front axle and then later on get a 4x2 tranny and rebuild it and swap the trannys out? will it work?

true it wont gain much milage but it will make it lighter and take less rolling resistance up front so technically it should help a bit...i think
i wanna lift my truck but i dont wanna spend 2 grand for a 4x4 lift, but would it work?
From what I understand it should work. Lift spindles should bolt right on. They have stubs so you don't have to worry about cv's. You should be alright with your stock tranny and no drive shaft. Take a look at this thread.

I say go for it. You can do it in a day. Keep all of the stock parts. If you change your mind or decide to sell put the 2wd spindles on ebay and take her back to stock.
