Gen 3 lift

I know this has been asked and answered many times before but here it goes again becase my searching never found exactly what i was looking for. My truck is a 1994 3.0, reg cab, and long bed. I've got sj 2" coils and a 3" body lift and my truck spends about 75-80% of its time on the road. Early next year i want to add a 6" suspension lift to run 35s. What is the best lift for my application?(mostly onroad, mild offroading but nothing extreme, and budget minded) Between now and getting the lift i plan on swapping out a 8'8 ls with 4:11s then after the lift and new tires, mayb 35s, swapping in 4:56s.

Thanx for all info and is there anything i forgot ot add

2wd or 4wd? i would assume 4wd since you want to run 35's.....

budget minded and still a GREAT kit is the Superlift 5.5" kit.....that is what i am running on my truck now and i have had no sagging coil problems, nor any other problems.......i think you can get this kit from National Tire and Wheel ( www.ntwonline.com ) with shocks and a pitman arm for about $600......then you will need extended brake lines.......

that kit comes with rear lift blocks to add to your factory blocks, but i wouldn't recommend using them.....i would recommend getting add-a-leafs and shackles or some other way to lift the rear....

Superlift makes good kits.....probably the 3rd best on the market behind Skyjacker and James Duff (both kits run around $1500..).......

the basic skyjacker 6 inch lift is about 800 bucks or so without the extended radius arms and is probably the strongest production lift they make for the 1st 2nd and 3rd gen rangers. The only thing I've seen stronger are custom made and not really available...

its a 4wd. So far just browsing that site i found the superlift for around $700 and a 6" kit that says its a "Suspension special!", it includes brackets, shocks, blocks, coils, pitman arm, and all that fun stuff for $500. Any one know what type of kit this is? Or how long the sale lasts?

Im gonna wait till around January to get the lift, but when i do i plan on using that site and i will call and get details. Im just asking questions now because i want to be well informed, know what i want, and know what im getting my self into when i get the kit. Thanx for your help!

PS...another question i know with this kit and my bl i can run 35s, but how much lift am i getting from this kit? I know it says 5.5, does it mean it lifts front and rear 5.5? or just the front 5.5? I still want my truck to remain somewhat level after the lift...

here is my truck with the Superlift 5.5" kit,a 3" body lift, and 35x12.50x15 tires.......i actually got roughly 5.75" of lift out of the kit.......so i have a total of ~9" of lift.....you will have the same setup as me, so 35's would be no problem....

oh and you will get 5.5" lift in the FRONT only.....the rear lifts is always roughly 2" less than the front lift.....that way it levels out the truck...

Great looking truck and looks like plenty of room. Any rubbing with the 10s during normal driving?

I wouldn't run the kit w/o radius arms, ride will be much nicer w/radius arms save a little more $$ and get radius arms.

not......radius arms are more for better articulation than ride quality....they have nothing to with ride quality.....that is what the coil springs are for.....

if you are going to off road your truck, then yes, get extended radius arms....if your truck is a daily driver, then they are not a must......

and if you decide to get extended radius arms, i have a brand new set of Superlift arms for sale with everything you will need to install them minus the Grade 8 bolts to bolt the brackets to the frame........for $360 shipped they can be yours.......which by the way, they are over $500 new.....

Sorry not trying to be a jerk, but the overall ride quality will be better with radius arms, not saying it will be terrible w/o. Longer radius arm means the tire will move in a larger radius therefore will not be as sharp of a motion when the springs compress or extend.
