I've heard of people putting stuff in between their springs on old cady's and such. When your driving, it gives the appearence that you have hydrolics because it bounces around on every little bump.
I would never do it on my truck........But its yours, do what you want. A hockey puck is strong.

I have still yet to see Friday Night Lights.
04BlackEdge, you sure its A&T and not Texas A&M?
Midland is well known, almost like Texas Tech & Lubbock. I got a ticket in Snyder for going 95 in a 65 mph...there were no cars (I saw 1 other car in 50 miles) at midnight.
Y'all are a bunch of hugea$s farm boys out there...

well thats snyder, its stupid to speed in the small towns around here, the cops are WAITING 24/7 for people to come through speeding or whatever else, out of towners are what keeps the little towns around here running
*shrug* Yea, go figure. College Station cops with rip you a new one, and they give tickets right and left for going 2 mph over (yes, I have gotten that one).
There was nothing but open flat fields over there...yea, I guess I deserved it. But it coulda been worse with the cops, who were surprisingly nice.
Stumpy, have to decided yay or nay for the body lift?

i hope you didnt have to pay that... i passed a trooper going 2-6 over on my way home, not really sure (damn 35s)
thought he turned around but it wasn't for me lol
yea, ive talked with some other guys with jacked up trucks, and they all say to just do the body lift. maybe if i get bored some day i'll throw some hockey pucks under the leafs (when has hockey ever gone wrong). is there any suspension lift kits out there for rangers that are reasonably cheap, and where can i get them? i went to the ford dealership and the only option was a 3" lift, and it was 3 grand or something, which was a bit much
The easiest thing for you to do concerning a suspension lift of any kind would be the 3" spindle lift mentioned above. Google it, and shop around for good prices.
The body lift kit from Performance Accessories is still the best option for a quick, simple lift that will fit larger tires. Relatively cheap, and get off eBay from someone that doesn't want theirs (or just buy brand new, if you are so inclined).
If you are looking to lift the rear for cheap regarding the suspension (not body), I may have 3" blocks for the rear (between the leaf spring & axle) in a couple weeks. I guarantee you that it will be safer, and more reliable than your hockey pucks for the axle and for about the same price. I thought I was going to use them, but decided to go another route (explorer leaf spring swap + Chevy drop shackles). They are brand new solid, billet aluminum blocks (never mounted) that I got from Summit (includes blocks, U-bolts, washers, & locknuts). PM me if you are interested...
EDIT: Used the wrong "theirs"

Leave the backyard halfass mechanics for the rednecks and just buy a lift kit. eBay has plenty of stuff on there.

I have a body lift for sale. Not to jack this thread. I don't know what year your truck is , otherwise I'd search. Ebay is key, tho. I think Suspension Maxx may have somethin' for ya. I'd say that AALs and Spindles would be the easiest. Get a quality BL because it just takes to long to do it in the first place. Why not do it and know that it'll last for awhile? Ya know? Just lookin' out.
Just got back to the thread...
Stumpy isn't even looking for a suspension lift anyways at this point. Just something to lift the body and possibly lift the rear...
LOL. Calm down, Matt. What does an aneurysm feel like? I just reread his opening post, and you're right, spindles won't work. T-are his best bet for the front for cheap, I would say for later down the road...
