I Broke It, Now What
Hi Guys, thought I would do a quick shock change out on my '95 Splash. I broke the bottom stud off on the driver's side front. Has anyone else done this? It looks to be one solid piece. Are these press fitted into the radus arm? Any easy remedy? Doesn't do any good to hurry does it. Thank you for any replies.
go to the dealer or Napa there is a repair kit you drill out the stud and it puts a bolt in there... or if you want to do it the right way that radii's arm is around $50 from the dealer and you put a new one on.. either way will work...
FYI as you just found out you are supposed to HEAT that nut to get it off...... otherwise it will brake like so

I had the same thing happen to me back in the day on my 1996 Ford Ranger 4x4. All i did was go to the local hardware store and buy the strongest bolts that they had that were the correct length and thickness and they worked great. I also wheeled my truck like 5 times a week after that and never broke the new bolts.
I broke it, now what?
Thank you guys, I went the route of the universal shock bolt kit at autozone. I replaced the shock on the other side tonight with no problems. Amazing what you can do when you take your time and think a little bit!
