Installing the new leaf springs.

Ok so today Andeezy(INT3RC3PTOR) and I are going to install my nifty new 6" Sky Jacker Leaf Springs (FR36S). They look sweet and should be rocken once they are in. Ive decided that I will keep the stock block in so that I get the full 6" 's of lift and for the bumpstop, meanwhile removing the Super Lift block...note to self...stacked blocks=headaches....Pics will be posted upon completion of the install! Stay tuned!!!!

If he's taking out the superlift block he should be fine plus those springs are probably alot stiffer than factory, so it'll be reduced a little.

more like a ton of rake.

remove 3" block but add a 6" lift leaf spring.

-3 plus 6 = a positive 3" in the rear and no added lift in the front.

^ thats what I ment to say. No blocks...my bad. Thats why I said stacked blocks= head aches, I was brain dead when I was typing, but you get the point...out with the old and in with the new! If I need to I can level it back out by crankin the t-bars.

Lack of sleep plus working at 430 am and fumes from Liquid Wrench really take a toll on the thought process.... I think depending on how long it takes us slackers to swap them in I might take a pic of the "extreme" rake for ***** and giggles...i think it would look funny...we will see

not unless my 7 year old spring hanger bolts that have been soaking in the MN rust belt decide that they dont want to play fair...then it could take longer...but like I said Ive been soaking them in Liquid Wrench for like the last 3 days...soo....I guess Ill just cross my fingers!

I got em from 4 Wheel Parts...free frieght was the selling point....

And-e pants and I have got the passangerside installed just fine...other than some hella long U-bolt ends that look ghetto it the setup looks sweet. On the driverside we ran into a bit of a problem...we cant get the fron hanger bolt to come out and there isnt enough room to pound it out since the gas tank is in the way...any suggestions? We have pretty much tried everything that we could think of, but to no avail. Majorly frustrating so we hung up the tools at about 12am. We also messed the threads of the rear shackle bolt so i have to go to the hardware store and Im going to buy two grade 8 bolts for the job...We talked about taking And-e's porta band saw and cutting the bolt out between the bushings of the leaf eye, but if any one knows of a better alternative Im willing to try it and get the pig on the road again. Also, I forgot to snap pics yesterday cause it was like 5 million degrees and humid as a kiss from Aaron's mom and things went from difficult to impossible in like 15 mins. We were sweating just sitting there....you know its bad when cold beer doesnt cure the heat.

EDIT: Pics today...I swear.

The Sky Jacker model number is FR36S for the 6"erz and FR34S for the 4"erz. I paid about $430 or so for them shipped to my door. the 4"erz are like 20 bones cheaper, but I dont want to have any blocks on my truck so i went with the 6"erz and ditched the blocks.
