Issue with Front shocks, Opinions please

My original Superlift kit is over 3 years old, and I decided to order new superlift shocks, as the Ranger is not my daily driver, and I don't want to spend money on coilovers. Figured the Superlift shocks are cheap enough. So I got all 4 new Shocks, repainted them and clear coated them for durability. Rears went in fine. Apparently the new front shocks are shorter than the old ones. So I brought it to a local shop and they confirm. I called superlift, and they told me I'm maxxed out, because I have a 4in kit, plus torsion crank, that the old fronts are probably over extended. Shocks are same part number as old ones. Is that even possible? how can I fix the problem? Lower the tbar? shock extenders? I never heard of the superlift shocks being over extended due to torsion bar crank. Please give me some suggestions on what this could be
