Leaf spring bracket snapped

So I'm drivin down the road whe I hear a loud jarring sound after i hit a pothole. Then i notice my truck is sitting 2.5" lower on the drivers side thenpassenger side. Crawl under the truck and see that the leaf snapped off the front bracket and is now sitting on top of my frame instead of under it. Needless to say I replaced both front brackets since the other one looked like crap and all is well. Just had the rear ones done last year. I hear this is common on Rangers.

Lemme guess and say that your undercarriage in the rear is extremely rusty and corroded?

Yes this is very common on northern trucks. I have replaced almost all of my rear hangers on all of my trucks and never the front but a few of my fathers friends have dones theres. The 1996 ranger has had the front done before i bought it

It's actually not to bad. Some rust most mostly surface. I try to keep it pretty clean under there i the winter time.

LOL I just priced this out for a 97 Ranger today. The rear shackle was pushing it's way into the bed.
