Working on my 1998 Ford Ranger 5-speed manual. The leaf spring bushings are cracked, rotted and bulging out the sides, and of course the main bushing bolt is very rusty. I spent many hours heating it and trying the impact wrench and breaker bar to no avail. So I'm going to just grind out the rivets and replace the entire leaf spring and hangers/shackles. However, on one side of the truck there is a brake line, I'm thinking it's the emergency brake line, that runs through the leaf spring though a separate bracket. I'm having trouble finding a replacement one of those anywhere online. Does anyone know what it's technically called and if they make an aftermarket replacement? I couldn't find one on rockauto. I'd still have to get that bolt out to be able to reuse it as the bolt also runs through it, which I know is going to be a struggle. Let me know, thanks!
I looked through my 08 ranger factory manual that shows pics and gives EVERY factory p/n, can't imagine that yor 1 prev. Iteration is that much different in the rear, I see a quote ...parking brake cable wireform bracket with its associated bolt, I'm not sure if this is it, but I'll try to attach the page that has that rear area, there's even a ford p/n, but most are either discontinued or have been superceded by another updated number, hope it helps.....SM
