bilstein shocks

bilstein shocks

What are the best shocks to get for a ranger skyjacker nitro or bilstein shocks i got the truck up 2 1/2 inches and think i need longer shock so thinking about up grading and figerd i would ask you guys any thing be a big help

I personally prefer Fox and Bilstein

Bilstein on a budget, and Fox if you're not.

Bilstein or fox.. (bilstein are great though.. Fox are a little over kill IMO)

fox def are not overkill...pricey but rebuildable

I've heard good things about Bilstein 5100s. But I don't know if they make them for the front of our trucks.

If you have cranked the bars 2.5" you don't need longer shocks, you need to lower the front end back down. You shouldn't run longer shocks up front because they act as limiters. A longer shock is going to allow the cv joints and ball joints to bind. Lower the front end down a little bit and get bilsteins. I don't believe they make 5100s because they are for lifted or "leveled" applications. Bilsteins claims the HD and 5100s are valved pretty closely anyway.
