will this fit?

Will the BL and SL on my 00 transfer over to a newer Ranger? My thoughts are this..

I have been wanting a newer truck for a while now, but dont want to get rid of the ranger.. My wife came up with a Wonderful idea. Get a newer ranger, transfer all the goodies, and sell the other one!

I'm not sure. I've only had a 99 and now a 98. No modifcations other than larger tires. I looked up whether the lift kit on your '00 will work on a newer Ranger and it will. For some reason Superlift shows a lift kit for 98-99 part number K357 (IIRC) and 00+ is K358. I'm not sure what would be different in the two kits though. Regardless, it would fit.

I would like to have an 06 FX4 personally. I like the look of the trucks with the two tone paint and the only thing being chrome is the headlights. That's just me though.

Why do you want a new Ranger again? Why not just put that money towards a engine swap in yours or something. I can see doing it for another truck like a 150 or 250 but not for another Ranger

That's what I did. I went from an 01 Ford Ranger Edge 2wd to an 04 Ford Ranger Edge Plus 4x4. It's a nice change.

My 01 sold in 2 days.

just alot of little things are starting to come up on my truck.. Pretty sure the wheel bearings are/are going bad.. the brakes all around, the ball joints.. and now the engine.. its just alot of little things that seems very overwhelming right now..

Keep your truck, get a cheap beater to drive while you fix the truck back up. Save money in the long run

I mean when you double lift a truck on big tires stuff like that is always going to come up. Might as well not put yourself in even more debt with a newer truck. Thats just how I see it though

YEAH, i understand where you are coming from trent.. I guess i have just become a little overwhelmed with everything you know.. Everything i can do myself/by myself other than the engine problems, its just alot of money.. I mean, the wheel hub alone is 200 bucks..

just fix up your ranger...and buy a older truck that way you save money and also are recycling at the same time... then when your done with the ranger you have another truck to mod!

Yes to your question.

BUT.....you may have to modify the knuckles and remove the PVH crap from it. If you get an 03+ Ranger and your knuckles don't have the dual caliper bracket holes, you'll need to downgrade to the smaller rotor size.

And for what it's worth, a new engine is ALOT cheaper than a new truck.

thanks for all the replies guys.. I hate to admit it, but I can not make up my mind what i want to do with the truck lol.. And i dont think she wants to be sold.. A guy offered me 10K for it last week, then I find the head gasket leak lol..

As of right now this is what i am planning on doing..

Friday the truck goes to my mechanic and he is going to use his new endoscope thingy to see exactly what is going on in the two cylinders, and see where it the leak is.. that will tell me what to do next..

Do what needs to be done to the engine, then replace brakes, ball joints, and poss. wheel bearing...

Im just really hoping i dont have a cracked head.. If i do, i will cry like a baby lol..

My 4.0 had two cracked heads. I paid $450 for 2 BRAND NEW heads and that included the installation of new valve seals, valves, and a valve job.
