Lift help

Hey guys yea im new to this. i have a 04 ranger fx4 4wd. I want to lift my truck i dont have enough money for a suspension lift, but i wanna do that in the future. Why does everyone say no to torsion keys, why are they so bad? Ive also read that crankin the t-bars chew the tires up and put stress on other components. I was thinkin about a body lift but idk. Askin for help and suggestions thanks

Crank the torsion bars, don't get aftermarket "lift" keys. If you can't afford a suspension lift then a 3" body lift is a cheap option.

Your only option is a torsion bar crank for the front; and AAL, blocks, or shackles for the rear.

Search, it has been discussed a million times.
The front suspension has very little travel. At stock height, the front can only droop about 3" before full travel. If you crank the torsion bars up 2", you only leave about 1" of droop, meaning the shocks top out over anything and everything and cause a harsh ride. Plus the CV joints and ball joints are at high angles causing more wear. You cannot use longer shocks because the CV joints and ball joints will bind. The torsion bars will also sag soon because with the extra pre-load, the will twist beyond design and fatigue.

the best way to lift your truck is a body lift or the suspension, everything else only gives a little lift like an inch maybe, so since you don't want a body lift start saving then
