Lifting

Hey guys, i am brand new to this borad, so far looks GREAT. I have a 2002 FX4 xtl, i wanted to give it some sort of lift to get the sagness out of it and give it a great look. I have cranked the torsion bars and that did a bit. I am running 265/75/16's on it right now. I was thinking about 3 inch body, but would it be unsafe with out a suspension lift?

Nope, you are good with that, just some bigger meats after the BL. Suspension lift will also cost you over $1000.

And pics please

it will look fine with the 265s(31s) after the BL. Later on when those tires are toast buy some aftermarket wheels and go 33x12.5.

The 31s are going to look tiny with a BL, my 32s look small with the BL. And I haven't noticed any difference in handling after the BL, it keeps your engine and suspension in the same place so your center of gravity is basically the same.

blah....double lift it on 35's yo. handles just fine.

how many miles on the truck? i suggest getting new #1 torsion bars. Torsion bars sag over time. so i figure $120 every 5 years for torsion bars as being an "affordable" maintinence item.

PS. If you have a manual trans......i hate you. lol.
