My trucks suspenion progression

Scotty G wanted me to post this on here after he saw the thread on RPS. Figured I'd post it here as a reference for anyone as to how each suspension mod changes the looks of the truck. So here you guys go.

Lift now consists of Superlift in front with Torsion bars maxxed. The rear is the Chevy drop shackle and add a leafs (long ones). The fenders from the ground in the rear sit at 41". The front are 40.75".

I still have a 1" body lift to install.

Here she is the day I started lifting her with just the Chevy shackle and Tbars maxxed.

Here she is with shackle and 3" of the Superlift upfront, had to decrank the Tbars to sit level with rear.

Now here she sits with 33's and the previous lift.

Today I added the AAL's.

And, cranked the Tbars again to the max.

Hope you guys like it.

They really do! Im in love with how it looks now. Makes me want to rethink the 1" BL for a bigger one, but the added inch from today is huge compared to what it was, I'm sure the 1"BL will make a big difference too.

Mine's still bigger............... Ha ha, man go big for the BL. Go all the way. You'll regret having to do it twice when you decide to go bigger.

I bought my kit used off a member here, he also sent the chevy shackles with it. I don't know where you'd get them new. The AAL's came from a seller on ebay. They are Rancho's long AAL's, they are like 32" long instead of the usual 20" ones. I bought them for like a 1/4 of the normal price.

I'd go bigger with the body lift, but don't want to run 35's, or regear the front and rear diff's for them either. MAYBE though in a few years when the truck is out of what warranty I haven't voided yet lol, and I want to go higher. For now though, its perfect.

Surprisingly soft. The rear rides NICE with the bilsteins out back, and the front is just fine. I believe its the long AALs that make the difference. I've heard the short AAL's are rough, these ones aren't at all.

Beautiful lookin rig!! Thats what mine wants to look like when it grows up!

Wait...so you are a 4x4. what are shackles and AALs and what do they do to the suspension. I thought you could only put those on a 2wd, not a 4x4. I thought it was just BLs and Superlift for 4x4s.

shackles and AAL are for the rear suspension

and for the most part, 4x2 and 4x4s are the same in the rear

The shackles are longer than the stock shackles, so when you install them it lifts the rear end. AAL's are "add a leafs", it just adds another leaf to the leaf packs. They are arched more than the stock ones, so it gives more arch to the spring pack too, creating more lift in the rear.

Due I loved it before, but with the additional height it looks freakin awesome. I would love for my truck to look just like yours and yellow rhino's.
