Spindle lift??

I have a buddy that told me about doing a spindle lift on his truck(2001 ford f150) and I was just wondering is it possible to do on my 2003 ford ranger? Not sure if the torsion bars would effect this lift or not, also if I did the swap could I just swap the spindles and nothing else? Or do I have to buy shocks, upper control arm ect ect with the spindles? Seems to be pretty easy if I could just swap the spindles

You can just buy the spindles, and do not need longer shocks or any other components. You do have to make sure you have adequate backspacing on your wheels though. I think something like 3.75, not sure someone else will have to chime in.

So if I add a leaf it should compensate for the spindle in the front?

im running stock wheels on a spindle lift now with 32x11.5s and no rubbing, but i will say that the rim is realy close to hitting the spindle itselfbut have had 0 issues with it so far, ill have new wheels this week anyways

I have the stock 16 inch aluminum rims, are you running 16s or 15s?

Yes you can ad an AAL to the back to lift it, but the ride will be a lot worse. You can add a chevy 1500 shackle to the rear to lift it and keep everything else stock and riding the same. You will have to get new shocks for the rear though

But if I add a leaf I won't need new shocks for the back? Just bought rancho 5500s, got them for stock hight, not sure if they allow any lift

You will have to get new shocks. You are increasing the distance between the two points that a shock mounts to.
