I am trying to get the sway bar on but I cant get it, It seems to rub the pass. side shock. The sway bar is off of my 7.5 rear end and im trying to put in on my new 8.8 (from a 02 edge) rear end. Are 8.8 and 7.5 sway bars and/or mounts different or am I just putting it on wrong?

If any body has a 8.8 rear axle with a sway bar then Please post a pic.. It would help very much.

****, well that really sucks. Guess I wont be putting it back on after all. Maby that is why after 30 mins of cursing a storm up I still cant get it on.

I will just take it to the metal recycle yard or what ever its called along with a trailer full of other stuff. I dont really need it, I cant tell all that much of a differents with it off. I just thought since I have it, and it helps handling might as well put it on. Thanks for the help guys.

 

I wish I could get rid of the body role on mine, I think the truck is finally getting softer, when I first got it it felt very tight in the corners, now it kinda sways...lol

 

Mine really doesnt have that much body roll for a truck, but if your going for good handling or a street truck then I could see wanting one. I cant really tell much of a differents with mine off but maby mine was worn out, flexing, offroad, and 10 years of service have probably weakened it.

I bet you could go to a local junkyard and get one cheap. Nothing has really changed so I would think any sway bar off a ranger with a 8.8 would fit. I think all sport models should come with sway bars. I mean its a SPORT model so it should have some sportiness to it other then the looks.
