Doing some suspension work

In the next month or so I am going to need new tires. I obviously want to go bigger then the 265’s I currently have. I can’t afford a Superlift right now, so I’m just going to get new t-bars, Chevy drop shackles and new shocks all around. I already have #1 t-bars on my truck, but they have over 107,000 miles on them and they are fully cranked. So I am going to buy new #1’s with part numbers - drivers side: F67Z5B326FA, passenger side: F67Z5B326FB. I will also be getting Chevy Drop Shackles using Belltech 6400’s. And after doing some research I will be going with the KYB Monotubes (it was a toss up between those and the Bilsteins) for shocks at all 4 corners.

Is there anything else I should replace while doing this?

And why is it that when I type in the part number for the passenger side t-bar, the item description reads: Front suspension - Torsion bar Torsion bar, explorer, left, w/sport trac - torsion bar - 2wd 2001 - 2005

Also I’m debating on either 285’s or 305’s. What’s everyone’s opinions?

Lastly, since its Nov. and rather cold outside now, is there anyone either in the South Jersey area (parents live in Toms River) or Westchester County (NY) area that would be willing to lend a garage. No problem traveling 2hrs away. I’ll supply food and beer.

Thanks all.

Are your ball joints, tie rods stock? I would replace those if they are.

New drums, shoes, pads done back in March '08, power booster and master clyinder done Oct'08. Ball joints (can't remember if upper or lower or both) were replaced within 3 years. Tie Rods don't look bad, but I guess if I'm doing everything else, I mind as well do those too. Rather be safe then sorry.
