the truck is a 99 XLT, 2.5L, 2wd model. i noticed a squeak in the front end the other day, but didn't think much about it. last night i was cleaning it out, and found an invoice in the glovebox, where the previous owner had a lot of work done to it back in March. one of the things was that he had the lower ball joints inspected b/c of a squeak, and the mechanic had suggested replacing them but the previous owner declined the service, for whatever reason. i found the balljoints on the web for 50 bucks, but its only for one. is there anywhere that i can get them in a pair, or cheaper than what i've found them for?

 

it depends if theyre the upper or lower...i think the upper the ball joints cant be pressed out...your gonna need new a arms...not too sure

they shouldnt be too expensive. i would start with calling all my local parts stores
