new form of coilover conversion hardware
ok B4 you guys start ripping me a new one, i HAVE searched and i havet found anyone evan mentioning this idea
My idea is to fab my own coilover conversion kit useing the same A-arm bracket as the new ORW A-arm mount but insted of the upper shock mount i want to fab my own version of the DIXON BROS RACING--- Ranger/Explorer 4wd Long Travel Suspension - Long Travel Suspensions - Dixon Bros Racing ---long travel upper shock mount assembly... the reason behind this is that i want to convert to coilover.. but i plan on getting the DBR kit anyway and i thought if i make the upper assembly, when i get the money for the controle arms and other goodies i can basicaly buy the kit with out the upper mount and stuff thus possibly makeing it cheaper!
so i was woundering if anyone has this kit and wouldent mind getting some detailed pics, drawings, and mesurments to help me with my planning
ill evan throw ya some stickers if you realy help me out
any advice and input would EXTREEMLY appreciated
and when/if i get these made i could prob make some for members if there interested!

i dont see how it would be cheaper at all...
so you want to build the mount run the ORW kit, then run coilovers, but then change all that out for some DBR arms, which you will still need to buy another set of coilovers and other items?
seems crazy to me.

Yeah I don't see how it'd be cheaper, you'd still have to buy all the DBR parts later. Not to mention you'd have to buy 2 sets of coilovers. If you want the DBR just start saving for it now and forget about the coilover conversion at this point.
then make the hoop so that i only have to buy one set of coilovers
Dude, don't waste your time and money. Do it right in the first place....just buy teh kit or settle without it ( SL or RCD or stock or total custom[which doesn't appear to apply to you]). Don't Jerry-rig the thing.

and i dont want to use that other brand because it is more expensive that the DBR kit
