I am also looking at the DB kit because I like the amount of travel you get. I wont be necessarily going to the desert. Ok maybe sometimes. I like to get some air sometimes.

What? Wait. Is your truck stock? What are the specs?(year, 2wd or 4wd, etc)

Well I like going through off camber sections, rock and ruts and whatnot but sometimes I like to catch some air.

If your truck is an EDGE or 98-up 4x4 then you don't have coils. I'm assuming the truck in your avatar is yours?

RCD(Race Car Dynamics) is a 5.5" lift for the 4wd Rangers. DB(Dixon Brothers Racing) is a long travel kit for 4wd Rangers.

KYB's (Kayaba) are shocks specifically designed for vehicles with high centers of gravity. They are mono-tube design, which means what you see id the auctual working cylinder. Monroes, ranchos, skyjackers and gabriels all have twin-tube design, which means there is an inner tube other than what you see. Monotube shocks do not have shock fade, which is when the gas and oil come together. Monotube shocks have a floating piston inside that keep the gas and oil totally seperate from one-another. Ebay or Summit is your best bet for finding them at a reasonable price.

I have ProComp ES9000 which I like very much but I'm switching them out soon for something a little softer.

Yes, your shock mounts stay the same on a body lift.
